Wild Put Four-Game Win Streak on the Line Against Visiting Flames

Wild gunning for fifth straight victory

The Minnesota Wild enter this game having won four straight, helping them put some space in between themselves and other Western Conference teams fighting for a playoff spot. To go along with their four-game winning streak, the Wild have played to a 6-2-2 mark in their last 10 games. Minnesota has 73 points, putting them seven points ahead of the closest team trailing them in the standings. A fifth straight win tonight would be their longest streak since capturing seven consecutive games in March of 2013.

Flames playing well, but its too little, too late

Calgary, despite playing to a 7-3-0 mark in their last 10 games, is still sitting towards the bottom of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. The Flames have been outscored by 43 goals this season, which is one of the worst differentials in the league. To make matters worse, the Flames have just 14 wins against conference opponents this year. Their win over the weekend came against the Edmonton Oilers in a battle of the two worst teams in the conference. Even though they have played well lately, Minnesota is a much better team.
