San Antonio Looking for 3-1 Lead in NBA Finals Over Miami Thursday

What will it take for the Heat to overcome their embarrassing game three loss at home? Well, for starters, they will need a much better defensive effort in game four on Thursday night against the Spurs. San Antonio led by 21 at halftime and never looked back en route to a 111-92 win to take a 2-1 series lead. We are going to put our money down on the Spurs.

Spurs look to stay hot offensively in game four

After a record-setting first half in game three against the Heat, the Spurs will look to stay hot on offense when they visit Florida for a second straight game. San Antonio will need to keep the Heat offense at-bay and overrun their defense if they want to go up 3-1 in this series. The Spurs will need to continue taking things one game at a time as they have so far through the first three.

Heat need to answer the Spurs tonight

Miami needs to respond early and often in game four Thursday night if they want to tie this series and put game three in the rear-view mirror. Miami was absolutely taken to task by the Spurs in that game, trailing by 21 at the half. Miami’s defense was pourous to say the least in the first half of that game. It needs to be more cohesive tonight in order to prevent another bad loss that would send them to a 3-1 deficit in the Finals.

Over at Bovada.lv, the host Heat are five-point favorites to win this game and even the series at two games apiece. After such a bad loss in game three, it is surprising to see such a line. We still think San Antonio has the edge in this game, so we will bet 10 percent of our bankroll on the Spurs and the OVER 197 total points scored.
