Rockets Out to Even Playoff Series With Visiting Trail Blazers Wednesday

The Toyota Center will be rocking on Wednesday night when the Rockets host the Trail Blazers for game two of their Western Conference first-round playoff series. Portland grabbed a 1-0 lead in the series with a two-point win in overtime in game one. Now, the Rockets will look to rebound from that loss and even the series. We like Houston in this contest.

Rockets ready to even this series at one

Houston dropped a very tough series opener by just two points on Sunday to the Trail Blazers in overtime. They do not want it to happen again, especially on their home court. There have been enough upsets in this first round so far and Houston is done being part of them. The Rockets will avenge their game one loss with an emphatic win tonight at home. Look for Dwight Howard to have a monster night for Houston.

Trail Blazers want command of series headed home

Before they even step foot on their home court, the Trail Blazers would love to have a commanding 2-0 lead in this series. In order to do this, Portland will need to be near-perfect on Wednesday night. Portland will need to contest the majority of James Harden’s shots if they want to be successful in game two on the road. This is easier said than done though since Harden is so good at his game.

In what is somewhat of a surprising spread, the Rockets are home chalk at -6.5 (-110) over the Trail Blazers. This seems pretty high after losing game one of the series, but we will take it as we drop 15 percent of our bankroll on Houston to grab the victory by laying the line at Sportsbook.ag. We just do not see the Rockets dropping a second game at home in this opening round series in the West.
