Gone are Evan Turner, Lavoy Allen and Spencer Hawes as Dallas comes to the City of Brotherly Love. We will take the Mavericks in a romp on Friday night as the Sixers drop their 10th straight game.

The Smoothie King Center in New Orleans will host an NBA contest featuring the New York Knicks and the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night. Both of these teams are trying to climb their conference standings as the second-half of the season gets underway following the All-Star break. New Orleans will take a step in the right direction with a win tonight, their second straight.

The Big-12 conference has just one game scheduled for Monday night and it features the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Baylor Bears. Both of these teams have enjoyed successful seasons, when they are not playing conference opponents. In the conference, the teams have identical 4-8 records. Both teams are 16-9 overall, but something has to give in Waco, Texas tonight as we back the host Bears with the win.

There aren’t too many rivalry games on the slate for NCAA men’s basketball on Friday night, which is why we have chosen to bet on the game featuring Southern Methodist and Rutgers. The Mustangs are sitting close to the top of the AAC and the Scarlet Knights are closer to the bottom, which is why we will back Southern Methodist tonight even though they are on the road in snowy New Jersey.

The Cavaliers are the number-17 team in the country and have just one loss in ACC play this season. They should be too much to handle for Maryland when the two teams meet tonight in Charlottesville.

The games on Monday, February 3, 2014 feature two struggling teams in the New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs.
