NHL 2012 Stanley Cup Final: Kings vs. Devils Game Six
Puck betting fans are counting down the minutes to what will be an amazing Game Six of the NHL 2012 Stanley Cup Final. The Los Angeles Kings can and will celebrate their first Cup win in franchise tonight.
It doesn’t get much better than the fire on ice action we’ll get during tonight’s Game Six. Puck drop is slated for 8:00 PM ET on Monday, June 11, 2012, from what will be a star studded Staples Center in California.
Los Angeles Kings Need To Jump Start Lagging Offense
If the Los Angeles Kings are finally going to put away the New Jersey Devils tonight, they will need to jump-start their offense. After outscoring the Devils 8-2 during the first three games, the Kings have managed just two goals, on 48 shots, during the last two contests. This is particularly true for Kings sniper Anze Kopitar who has not had a shot on goal since Game 3 of the series.
Devils Look To Brodeur To Send The Cup Final Back To New Jersey
While we aren’t quite sure how he is doing it, Martin Brodeur continues to defy age as he has backstopped the Devils back into the 2012 Stanley Cup Final during the past two games. Brodeur has stopped 46 of the last 48 shots he has faced – some of them in dramatic style. Similar heroics tonight, on enemy ice, would send the Cup Final back to the Swamp for a deciding Game Seven.
We don’t see the Kings losing a third straight game – something they haven’t done since they dropped four straight from February 16 to 22, 2012. Expect a Hollywood style finish to the NHL 2012 Stanley Cup Final series as the Kings hoist the Cup for the first time franchise history tonight. With Jonathan Quick winning the Conn Smythe MVP Award a 3-1 final score seems about right.
