Colts vs Saints: NFL Week 7 Sunday Night Football Prediction

Prior to Peyton Manning going under the knife for neck surgery, this Saints vs. Colts match-up had all the makings of being a potential game of the year. With the Colts Captain basically done for the season (career), this contest has lost a bit of its luster.

Kickoff for this Week 7 Sunday Night Football clash is scheduled for Sunday, October 23, 2011, at 8:30 PM ET from the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Week 7 Sunday Night Football Preview: Colts @ Saints

We should be a little sour on the Saints after they laided an egg in Tampa Bay during Week 6 NFL action but, in the words of the rock legend Bob Seger, Turn The Page!

Handicapping turnovers is nearly impossible, and New Orleans (4-2) committed four of them in their 26-20 loss to the Buccaneers. Of the four turnovers, none were more costly than the interception, in end-zone, with under four minutes left in the game.

Indianapolis (0-6) was right in the thick of their NFL Week 6 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, until WR Pierre Garcon fumbled with under three minutes left in the game. The Bengals took the turnover to the house and secured a 27-17 victory, along with an ugly backdoor cover.

SNF Week 7 Betting Lines: Saints vs. Colts Free Pick

This line has been peaking as high as-14.5 Saints so we’ll grab the -13.5 points being offered in the sportsbook at the BetOnline sports wagering website.

Sunday Night Betting Lines NFL Week 7

While we were a little leery of the Saints defense last weekend, we never imagined their offense would implode like it did. That caused our weekly Best Bet Free Pick to crash along with it.

Indianapolis has little to no offense so we aren’t very concerned about how the Saints play on defense this weekend. Additionally, with each mounting loss, the Colts are going to get worse as they realize their 2011 playoff dreams are just a nightmare.

QB Drew Brees, along with his talented offense, are a year and a half removed from being Super Bowl Champs. We think they will come out angry, show some pride, and respond in a big way at home in the Superdome, in front of a global television audience.
