For Indianapolis the mission is as clear as it gets. Win and they move on to the dance. Lose and they will be scoreboard watching to see if the Texans can beat the injury depleted Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Colts are as good as any team on their fast track at home and they are getting healthy in the backfield. RB Joseph Addai is back in the fold and looked healthy in Week 16 as he returned to the end zone against the Raiders.

What can we add to this match-up that has not already been discussed and laughed about. The Rams sit at 7-8 and can finish their “last to first run” with a win in enemy territory. If the Seahawks can shut down the young Rams, Seattle would advance to the playoffs with a 7-9 record and that will set football back 100 years.

We have a simple solution to help ensure this situation never happens again. Eliminate the divisions and just the AFC and NFC. Have each team play every other team once plus an additional game against each of their former divisional foes. Eliminate two of the exhibition games and make it the regular season 18 weeks.
