Seahawks vs. Rams: Monday Night Football Week 14 Free Pick

We’re not quit sure what the NFL schedule makers were thinking when they penciled this one in. The NFL Week 14 Monday Night Football match-up will feature the Seattle Seahawk ripping the St. Louis Rams.

None the less, football is football – so we’ll make the best of it. This contest has blowout written all over it!

Rams @ Seahawks: Week 14 Game Day Preview

Kickoff for this NFC pro football betting is slated for 8:30 PM ET on Monday, December 12, 2011, from CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Washington. Seattle is 8-2 ATS (9-1 SU) in their last ten games against the Rams. The Seahawks have won four in a row in Seattle – by a 114-25 final score.

Seattle (5-7 Home 3-3) is still dreaming about making the NFL 2011 playoff party as they have won three of their last four contests. We say dreaming because, even with a win tonight, they still need to leapfrog Dallas and Chicago (7-6) as well as Detroit who owns an 8-5 record. Dream on!

St. Louis (2-10, Road 1-5) is playing out the string as they’ll register an eighth straight non-winning season. The Rams haven’t been above .500 since going 12-4 during the 2003 NFL season.

Week 14 MNF Betting Bodog Betting Lines Seahawks vs Rams

Bettors need not question whether the Seahawks will win this contest, they need to ask – by how much? Rams QB Sam Bradford, along with his backup A. J. Feeley, is expected to miss this contest.

That would leave QB Tom Brandstater, a 174th overall pick in 2009 out of Fresno State, to guide the Rams sinking ship. Brandstater has been on five NFL rosters yet never recorded a stat. Yikes!

RB Marshawn Lynch has 678 total yards and six TD the last five weeks. He will run wild against the Rams 32nd ranked run defense that is giving up an average of 157.8 yards per game.

After they got shutout 26-0 in San Francisco last weekend, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Rams laid another goose egg on the road in this one. The Cleveland Browns (NFL 2008 Weeks 16 & 17) were the last NFL team to go down with back-to-back shutout loses.

As much as we like the UNDER here, we are going to stay away from that temping Game Total. Instead, we’ll happily lay the Point Spread and soar with the Seattle Seahawks in this one!
