NFL Week 9 Free Pick: Chiefs vs. Dolphins Game Day Preview
We are sticking with a hot team as we back the Kansas City Chiefs with a second straight NFL Free Pick. We were winners with the Chiefs, straight up against the San Diego Chargers, during the Week 8 MNF contest.
We like them again today as they host the lowly Miami Dolphins. Kickoff for this early day football betting action is slated for Sunday, November 6, 2011, at 1:00 PM ET, from Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri.

NFL Week 9: Dolphins @ Chiefs AFC Game Day Preview
Kansas City (4-3) is finally living up to the preseason faith we put in them! The Chiefs have now won four straight contests, after their horrible 0-3 start to the 2011 NFL season.
Miami (0-7), although competitive in some games, is in tough here as they continue to look for their first victory. The Dolphins have been swimming upstream all season – the waters won’t be any calmer on the shores of the “Mighty Mississippi” in Kansas City today.
While the Chiefs are coming off the dreaded “short week” after playing on MNF, the Dolphins are on the road for a second straight week. Kansas City blew a 13-3 halftime lead before winning 23-20 against the Chargers. While the competition hasn’t been exactly stout, the Chiefs can add San Diego to their win list that also includes the Vikings, Colts, and AFC West rival the Oakland Raiders.
Miami put up a battle against the New York Giants, on the road in East Rutherford, NY, before falling 20-17 to the G-Men. San Diego beat Miami 26-16 back in Week 4. The Dolphins also have less than quality loses to the Browns and the Broncos.
JustBet.com Game Day Betting Odds: Chiefs vs. Dolphins Free Pick
We expect the Chiefs Defense to be a decides in this game as Matt Moore will be running for his life for most of the contest. Miami’s porous offensive line has given up 13 sacks in Moore’s previous three starts, including five last week, and 16 since he replaced injured QB Chad Henne in Week 4.
Kansas City sacked Chargers QB Phillip Rivers three times last week. The Chiefs defense has given up and average of 16.2 points per game over their last five contests. That’s after they gave up a combined 89 points, to the Bills and Lions, in the first two weeks. We like the Chiefs here!
Miami’s 27 ranked pass defense won’t help the Dolphins cause as they will be tested by Chiefs QB Matt Cassel and WR Dwayn Bowe. We aren’t buying into the Miami “close loses” scenario. Their three points or less loses were to the Browns, Bronocos, and an overrated Giants squad.
We also aren’t concerned with the possibility of the Chiefs looking past the Dolphins. The busted Broncos are next up, during Week 10 action from Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver.
We are sticking with the hot running Chiefs as we see them hooking the Dolphins in this one today!
