Home Underdog Wins – Game Total Goes Over
The dogs kept barking in Week 7 NFL action as the 0-5 Carolina Panthers got their first win of the 2010 NFL season in American football action that played out at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
After the 49ers got their first win of the season last week, the Panthers turned the trick in lucky Week 7. Despite making the tough west to east road trip, San Francisco came out firing as TE Vernon Davis caught a 1-yard TD pass to cap a four play, 74-yard, drive on the 49ers first possession.
Carolina answered that with a PK John Casey 47-yard field goal to cut the lead to 7-3 at the end of the 1st quarter.
Carolina then turned the table with a TD of their own while San Francisco added a field to knot the halftime score at 10-10.
PK John Kasey accounted for the only score in the 3rd quarter as he kicked a monster 55-yard field on the Panthers first possession of the third period.
The scoring floodgates opened in 4th quarter as the 49ers kicked a 38-yard field goal on the first play of the period and then scored a 31-yard interception return TD on the Panthers ensuing possession.
Carolina seemed dead in the water but manned up with a TD and FG in the final two minutes of the 4th quarter to steal away a 23-20 home win.
Bettors at SportsInteraction.com who backed the underdog home team Panthers were rewarded with a tidy 210 unit payout on a 100 unit money line wager.
