NFL 2010 Week 6 – Free Picks – Parlay Wager Recap

As we look back on the week that was, our NFL Week 6 recap shows that our record was 2-1 on our free picks. The Lions got a back door cover to send our parlay wager to the Bodog.com virtual trash bucket.

It never ceases to amaze us when the bookmakers are able to get the numbers so close on certain games during every week of the NFL season. During Week 6 of the NFL 2010 season five games were decided by combined 6.5 points. That included three games where the spread winner covered by just a half point.

Here is the NFL 2010 Week 6 recap of our three Free Picks and our Parlay Wager

New York Giants -10  vs. Lions – Spread Wager @ Bodog.com – Bet 100 Units

This game was like a virtual roller coaster ride that starts out slow, quickly gets up to speed and then crashes at the end.

When it was over, a PK Jason Hanson 50-yard field goal with 2:33 left on the game clock added up a back door, underdog, cover by Detroit.

Money Line Wager: Texans -220 @ Sportsbook.com – Bet 100 units

Since the New York roller coaster ride wasn’t enough for us we decided to board the Texans twister and it was an even crazier ride.

We thought our bet was headed to the virtual trash can until Houston mounted a thrilling, fourth quarter, come back and defeated the Kanas City Chiefs 35-50.

The comeback wasn’t enough for most spread bettors (some got a push) but it was enough for us to bag our money line bet.

Q4 – Texans 28-30 A. Foster 1 yard run (N. Rackers kick)
Q4 – Texans 35-30: A. Johnson 11 yard pass from M. Schaub (N. Rackers kick)

New York Jets @ Denver Broncos – Game Total OVER 41.5 @ BetUs.com   Bet 100 Units

After a scoreless first quarter we were sweeting our OVER bet on this game. We breathed a little easier with the 17 point half time total but were still lagging behind and managed just 1o 3rd quarter points.

It was then “Ladainian Tomlinson to the rescue” as the All World running back scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns. Denver PK Matt Prater added a long field goal and our game total OVER bet was a winner.

NFL Week 6 Game Summary: Jets @ Broncos

Q2 – Jets 7-0: B. Edwards 32 yard pass from M. Sanchez (N. Folk kick)
Q2 – Broncos 7-7: T. Tebow 5 yard run (M. Prater kick)
Q2 – Broncos 10-7: M. Prater 59 yard field goal
Q3 – Jets 10-10: N. Folk yard field goal
Q3 – Broncos 17-10: D. Thomas 17 yard pass from K. Orton (M. Prater kick)

While we missed on our parlay wager, when the Giants failed to cover ,we did win two of three on our single bets to salvage the weekend.
