Post Game Fallout: Lions vs Redskins – Week 9 Betting Lines

In what has been a wild roller coaster ride type season for the Lions – a game finally fell in their favor.

Between getting jobbed by officials and devastating injuries, the only luck Detroit had been getting was bad luck through the first half of the NFL 2010 season.

This was an excellent launch to the second half of the season as Detroit, believe it or not, still has a shot to make the 2010 playoff party.

As for Washington this game ended in very strange fashion and one is left to wonder what the fallout will be because of it. Head coach Mike Shanahan benched starting QB Donovan McNabb while trailing 31-25 with 1:50 left in the 4th quarter in favor of Rex Grossman.

The move has been hashed and rehashed but it is what it is – a boneheaded, knee-jerk reaction by a head coach grasping at straws. How it all shakes out in the coming weeks is anyone’s guess but we would rather have McNabb under center over Grossman at any point – in any game.

Washington Redskins: NFL Week 9 Betting Odds

Up Next: Washington has a Week 9 bye and will use the time figure out if they have a quarterback controversy to go along with their linebacker and running back controversies. We don’t see one but Shanahan is as unpredictable as they come so you can’t discount anything.

They better get it figured out in a hurry as a road game against division rival Philadelphia is next up during the Week 10 NFL scheduled action.
