Wild Card Playoff Betting Lines Giants vs. Falcons

Despite being NFC foes, the Giants and Falcons have met just seven times since the 2000 NFL season. There last contest was back on November 22, 2009 at the old Meadowlands Stadium as the Giants pulled off a 34-31 overtime win.

This is the first ever post-season match-up between these two clubs and it will also be the inaugural playoff game hosted in the new MetLife Stadium. We always have a tough time trusting Atlanta away from the Georgia Dome. While they don’t totally fall apart, and have gotten better at playing on the road, the Falcons are a team that’s built to play in their home nest.

New York has played some inspired football lately as they closed the season on a 3-1 roll. It’s not surprising that the return of running back Ahmad Bradshaw sparked the winning run. This is a vastly different team with their lead back in the lineup. With Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs both healthy, and active, Giants QB Eli Manning isn’t forced to win games entirely through the air.

There’s talk that this Giants team resembles the 2007 squad that upset the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. While that may be true, and we see them winning this one, the G-Men will not get past the Green Bay Packers – enjoy the “one and done” playoff season New York.
