Nationals Set to Extend Streak to Five Games Against Rockies at Home

Doug Fister has been an excellent addition to the Nationals rotation this season with a 6-2 record and an ERA of 2.83. The Nationals are starting to put things together and have welcomed Bryce Harper back to the lineup this week after a lengthy stint on the disabled list. These two men will do everything possible to secure another victory tonight in order to keep pace with the Braves in the NL East.

Rockies lean on rookie Tyler Matzek for a win

Matzek is just 1-2 this year with a high ERA of 4.24, but his last time on the mound he looked strong. Matzek threw six innings, allowing just one run in what was a no decision for the lefty. He will need to be just as dominant on Wednesday night if he wants to limit the Nationals offense in the hopes of getting the Rockies a win on the road. Colorado is 11.5 games out of first in the NL West, just 1.5 games out of last place.
