Dodgers Aim for Sole Possession of First Place Monday Against Indians

The Los Angeles Dodgers are tied for first in the NL West all of a sudden. With the recent slide of the Giants, Los Angeles has taken advantage and moved up the ladder. Now, they go for sole possession on Monday night when they host the Indians. Dan Haren looks for his eighth win of the season as we back the Dodgers at home as they move a half-game in front of the idle Giants tonight.

Dodgers ready to move into first place alone

With veteran Dan Haren on the mound tonight, the Dodgers have a pretty good shot of becoming the top team in the NL West with a win. They will move a half-game ahead of the Giants with a win since San Francisco is off for the night. Haren will need to rebound quickly to help the Dodgers win this game after allowing 14 home runs in his last nine starts.

Indians trying to climb AL Central ladder

Cleveland is not having the season its fans had hoped for, but things can change drastically in the span of a couple weeks. Corey Kluber gets the call tonight on the mound after finally returning to the win column his last time out. It was his first win since May 30. Despite his struggles over the last month, his record is above .500 and his ERA is closing in on 3.00. He will need to be dominant again tonight to grab the victory.

We will place our bets for the Dodgers and Indians over at SportsBetting.ag, where Los Angeles is the underdog at home due to the recent struggles of Haren. We think he will rebound nicely tonight, which is why we will bet 10 percent of our bankroll on Los Angeles and the UNDER seven total runs scored at -115 Monday. Cleveland is just 3-7 in its last 10 games played.
