Cincinnati Bengals 2010 Season Preview
The Cincinnati Bengals head into the 2010 NFL season looking for another double digit win season after they finished 10-6 in 2009. If they pull it off; it will be the first time the Bengals have had back to back, double digit win seasons since 1975 and 1976. It would also put the Bengals well over their predicted 7.5 total wins currently posted at most major online sportsbooks.
If anything, the Bengals will be fun to watch as Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens could be the best duo since Belushi and Aykroyd. The competition has already started as this dynamic dual is featured at BetUS.com under an Ochocinco and TO Special.
Bengals 2010 Offense
In addition to the Cincinnati’s version of Batman and Robin, QB Carson Palmer returns for his seventh season as the starter for the Bengals. Palmer never looked comfortable coming back from his 2008 ankle injury and was mediocre at best last season. Many question Palmer’s dwindling arm strength and wonder if he has what it takes for the Bengals to win the AFC North.
An intriguing piece of the Bengals puzzle is rookie tight end Jermaine Gresham who the Bengals selected in the first round (21st OA) of the 2010 NFL Draft. This will be the first time Palmer has ever had a stud TE to throw to in his entire NFL career. Given Palmers lack of arm strength, Gresham will get a lot of looks and could challenge for the NFL 2010 Offensive Rookie of The Year Award.
American Football League Championship
Being in the same division with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens means the Bengals road to the AFC Championship will be fraught with danger. The Bengals are currently sitting as the seventh favorite at +1500 to win the 2011 AFC Championship. Taking a flyer on the Bengals at those odds could be a very profitable proposition.
