ALDS Game One: Tigers vs Yankees MLB Free Pick

Both teams cruised home down the stretch. We would bet the farm that managers, Jimmy Leyland and Joe Girardi, where fully focused on each other during the final week of the season.

The Yankees and Tigers met seven times in 2011, and their season series was over in the first week of May. Detroit won four of seven contests, including the last three by a 14-5 score.

This is an epic pitching match-up as the Vaporizer went 24-5 (2.40 ERA) while Sabathia was 19-8 (3.00 ERA). Make no mistake, both these guys are brilliant, they also get a ton of run support.

The Yankees finished second in runs scored with 867 (5.35 per game) while the Tigers were fourth with 787 (4.85 per game) runs scored. Do the math – both of these teams can mash at the plate.
