Many pundits thought this could be a preview of two playoff bound teams from the AFC. Instead, the Chargers are fighting for their playoff lives while the Bengals have been like a lump of coal in your Christmas moring stocking.

San Diego battered the 49ers 34-7 at home in Week 15 while the Bengals defense came up big in a 19-17 win over the Cleveland Browns

Chargers QB Philip Rivers continued his steam rolling season as he welcomed Vincent Jackson back to the fold and rewarded him with three TD passes. The San Diego defense took over from there as they allowed the 49ers just 192 total yards.

The Bengals somehow manned up at home to take down the Browns in an ugly defensive battle. The two teams combined for six field goals and two touchdowns. The key to the game was the Bengals ability to shut down Browns RB Peyton Hillis who was held to just 59 rushing yards. They also cranked up RB Cedric Benson who ran for a season high 150 yards with one TD.

The weather outside is frightful and the Boys from sunny San Diego will not find that to their liking. That being said the Chiefs are ripping the Titans and well on their way to victory. The Bolts will have to play “pedal to the metal” all game and we think they will overcome the elements and the “Bungals”.
