It has been a season to forget for the Cardinals and 49ers. Both teams were in the preseason NFL playoff talk but neither will end up with a winning record let alone make it to the dance.

Arizona stunned the Cowboys in Week 17 with two defensive touchdowns on their way to 27-26 upset win at home against the Cowboys. The Cardinals were -7 point underdogs but won outright, while the 53 points scored made winners of the game total OVER bettors.

San Francisco struggled right out the gate in the NFL 2010 season and their latest loss, 25-17 to the Rams in St. Louis ended their slim playoff hopes. The 49ers failed were just 2.5-point underdogs but didn’t come close to a cover while those back the OVER cashed winning tickets.

It can be difficult to handicap a game that is pretty much void of any real meaning. The winner here doesn’t finish in last place in the NFC West – if you want to reach for something. The 49ers should also have some will to want to give their hometown fans something to cheer about in their final home game.
