Florida played rude hosts last night as they took the second game of this three game set 8-4 after the Phillies won 5-3 on Friday. Cole Hamels pitched seven strong innings for the Phillies but was chased by a rain delay. The Marlins put up a five-spot in the eighth, after the delay, and it was lights out for Philadelphia.

The Marlins won’t have time to relax with RHP Roy Halladay (16-5 2.47 ERA) toeing the rubber this afternoon. The Doc is 6-2 with a 2.60 ERA in his last ten starts. We feel Halladay will be the National League Cy Young winner and he still has shot at getting to 20 wins on the season.

Florida will counter with RHP Anibal Sanchez (7-7 3.97 ERA) who has given up three or more runs in six of his last seven starts. Sanchez can bring some heat, but he is overmatched in this contest.

Interestingly, this will be the Phillies last game in Sun Life Stadium as the Marlins move into their new ball park next season. Halladay pitched a Perfect Game here back on May 29, 2010.
