NFL Monday Night Football: Giants vs Rams Free Pick
Call it East Coast bias, call it a team living on it’s laurels, or call it we have to have someone named Manning on TV. Spin it anyway you want, but the New York Giants hosting the St. Louis Rams contest does little to earn the lofty Monday Night Football prime time spotlight.
It what it is though and this pro football betting action gets underway at 8:30 PM ET, on Monday, September 19, 2011, from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
NFL Game Day Preview: Rams @ Giants Injury Report
St. Louis hobbles into this contest after they hung with Eagles in Week One but lost by a somewhat deceiving 33-17 final count. QB Sam Bradford will play with a bruised right index finger, while RB Steven Jackson and WR Danny Amendola are both doubtful for the Rams.

New York isn’t much healthier as DE Osi Umenyiora and TE Travis Beckum have been been listed as OUT for this contest. DE Jason Tuck and WR Hakeen Nicks were both limited in practice on Friday and are listed as questionable.

Our Monday Night Football betting lines are courtesy of the sportsbook at the Bodog.com online wagering website. Bodog is also offering LIVE BETTING throughout the evening for this match-up.
With both teams looking like M*A*S*H Unit, this is an extremely difficult game to handicap. The Giants are banged up predominantly on defense but the Rams injuries on offense kind of makes it even. That being said, losing RB Steven Jackson is a huge blow to the Rams offense.
WR Hakeen Nicks has vowed he will play on Monday but we’ll believe it when we see it. Who ever is catching balls for the Giants will be licking their chops as St. Louis is dealing with injuries in their secondary including defensive backs Ron Bartell (broken neck) and Bradley Fletcher (sprained toe).
As much as we don’t like giving up a full touchdown, the Giants are at home and they have more healthy stars starting in this contest. It’s going to be a long night for the Rams offense and we see the Giants being able to score enough to cover the spread in this one.

The Boston Red Sox lost the first half of a twin bill today as the Baltimore Orioles belted three home runs in a 6-5 victory. The loss shaves the Red Sox Wild Card lead to just 1.5 games over the Tampa Bay Rays who are idle today.
The lead will be down to just one game if the Red Sox don’t pull up their socks in the second half of the doubleheader tonight.
Expect the Red Sox to tee off on Orioles starter LHP Brian Matusz who is 1-7 with a 9.84 ERA. The road has not been kind to Matusz as he owns 0-3 record, with an 8.22 ERA, in five starts on the road this season.
First pitch for the second half of this double dip is slated for 7:10 PM ET from Fenway Park in Boston. The betting windows are still wide open at the JustBet.com online sportsbook!
