We have looked at the Saints vs Jaguars contest, six ways to Sunday, and we can’t  find any reason for not supporting the Bayou Boys in this one. Simply stated, the Jags are fortunate to be 1-2, while the Saints are an unlucky 2-1 during the young NFL season.

Saints vs  Jaguars Recent Trends: NFL Game Day Preview

This is not a good game for trend bettors as these two clubs have only met once since the 2007 season when the Saints marched all over the Jaguars by a 41-24 final score.

Trends however are the past and this is the present. The Saints aren’t the same club away from the Superdome but they did hang with the World Champs, on the road in Green Bay, during Week One. New Orleans put up 34 points against the Packers, followed that with 30 against the Bears, and then hung another 40 on the Texans last week. There’s a trend for you – this team can score.

Jacksonville played a disorganized (and not very good) Titans team and barely hung on to win 18-16. After that, they were crushed 32-3 by an overrated Jets team, and played in a monsoon during a 16-10 loss to the Panthers in Week Three. Wait a minute, there’s another trend – Jacksonville is averaging 10 points for while giving up almost 19  against per game (to offensively challenged teams).

As an interesting side note, Saints QB Drew Brees is the favorite (3/1) on the Most Passing Yards Player Prop Bet at Bodog. Jacksonvile QB Blaine Gabbert doesn’t even make the list of 14 quarterbacks that includes Andy Dalton (20/1) from the bungling Bengals.
