Tigers Look To Deep Six Yankees – Move On To ALCS
With the Texas Rangers putting away the cinderella Tampa Bay Rays earlier today, the Tigers can complete the second half of American League Championship Series with a win over the Yankees.
After recently being relegated to the New York bullpen, RHP A.J. Burnett is now being called upon to save and extend the Yankees season. The Tigers hitters have got to be licking their chops as they look forward to facing Brunett. It’s been a season to forget as the veteran labored to an 11-11 record with a lofty 5.15 ERA. Brunett will be on a very short leash and he won’t last long tonight.
Detroit will counter with young, yet seasoned, RHP Rick Porcell, as they look to close out the Yankees. Porcell, who will be 23 in December, already has 38 wins in three seasons with the Tigers. The right-hander finished the season strong as he went 2-1 with a 3.55 ERA in September. The Tigers won in four of his five September starts.

Milwaukee Brewing Up A Series Sweep – Diamondbacks Looking For Life
Punching their ticket to the NLCS is the only thing on the minds of the Milwaukee Brewers as the try to eliminate the D-backs with the series sweep tonight. The first two games in this series haven’t been close as the Brewers won 4-1 and 9-4 at Miller Park.
Milwaukee sends RHP Shaun Marcum (13-7, 3.54) to the hill while Arizona counters with RHP Josh Collmenter (10-10, 3.38). It will be all hands on deck, when it comes to pitching for the Diamondbacks, but we see a starting pitching advantage in favor of the Brewers in this one.
We see the Brewers as the vastly superior team and they will be packing the brooms needed to dust off the Snakes tonight!
