MLB World Series Game 3: Rangers vs Cardinals Free Pick

With the game time temperatures up near 80 degrees, the bats should heat up along with the weather – as long as rain stays away.

Cardinals @ Rangers: MLB WS Game 3 Pitching Preview

When this series began, we were of the opinion that the bats would beat the starting pitching. After each team has scored four runs, in two games, it’s been the pitchers with the upper hand. While the starters were good for both teams, you have to give an assist to Mother Nature as the cold weather contributed to the lows scores.

Tonight the Cardinals send RHP Kyle Lohse (14-8 3.39 ERA) to the hill against Rangers starter LHP Matt Harrison. Lohse has been brutal in the 2011 postseason as he is 0-2 with 7.45 ERA after giving up eight runs, on 13 hits, over 9.2 innings of work.

Hamilton has been somewhat better with a 4.22 ERA as he has pitched 10.2 innings allowing five runs on nine hits. Harrison’s job is to get through five innings or so and then give way to the Rangers bullpen. He has done just that in his two starts in the 2011 MLB Playoffs.
