NHL Tuesday Night Puck Action: Game Day Preview

Favorites listed above have 56 points and are up against teams that have registered 29 points during the young NHL season. The favorites have 26 combined wins, while the underdogs have 12 victories between them.

Pittsburgh is hurting, Detroit is missing their top goaltender, the Kings are starting goalie Jonathan Bernier, and the Stars vs Coyotes match-up is pretender vs. pretender. That leaves the Canucks vs. Oilers as the most attractive puck betting option tonight.

Vancouver has the heart of their team back as Ryan Kesler returned to the lineup on October 18, 2001. Kesler has two points in his last two games. The Canucks will also welcome F David Booth into the fold as he was acquired from the Florida Panthers on the weekend.

Edmonton has been led by goaltending as they own a 1.43 team goals against average, good for second best in the league. On the other side of the coin, Edmonton sits last in scoring as they are averaging just 1.71 goals per game.

NHL Puck Betting Line Canucks vs Oilers

This will be the second match-up of the six game season series between Vancouver and Edmonton. The Canucks won the first contest by a 4-3 count back on October, 15, 2011. Like that first contest, tonight’s action will be played on the Oilers home pond at Rexall Place.

Edmonton has been playing decent hockey but they are over-matched against last year’s Stanley Cup finalists in this one. We expect the Canucks to come out firing on all cylinders tonight.
