Texas sends RHP Colby Lewis to the bump, to face Cardinals LHP Jaime Garcia, for this showdown in St. Louis. Both of these pitchers were lights out in their Game 2 starts as Lewis pitched 6.2 innings of four hit, one run ball. Garcia was even better as he went seven strong innings, allowing no runs, on three hits, while striking out seven Ranger batters.

At the dish, there isn’t a whole lot separating these two clubs. Looking at the composite Series box score, the Rangers have scored 19 runs, on 39 hits, while the Cardinals have plated 22 runs, on 36 base hits. The Rangers have been the sloppier of the two teams as they have committed six errors, compared to just two for the Red Birds.
