2011 MLB Game 7 World Series: Game Day Preview
For the first time since 2002 Fall Classic, when the Los Angeles Angels defeated the San Francisco Giants, the MLB 2011 World Series needs a Game 7 to decide the Champion of Baseball.
First pitch for this historic Game 7, of the 2011 World Series, is slated for 8:05 PM ET on Thursday, October 27, 2011, from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.
Recovery time is just what we needed after the Cardinals pulled out a miracle 10-9 victory in 11 innings last night. What looked like “money in the bank” turned into crashed cash as we continue to struggle with a late October Free Pick swoon. The Rangers were one stinking strike away from winning the 2011 World Series, TWICE, during Game 6 last night.
In the words of “Lefty” AKA, the living legend Al Pacino – Forget About It!
We have looked at both of these teams so much, since the the middle of August, we like they’re a branch on our family tree. We aren’t to going to go into a lot of the X’s and O’s for this contest as it has all been said before. The pitching match-up tonight features Cardinals RHP Chris Carpenter up against LHP Matt Harrison from the Rangers.
In his last start, on three days rest, Carpenter wasn’t all that good. In Game 2 of the NLDS, the Cards ace went just three innings, and gave up four runs. That contest was eventually won by the Cardinals, 5-4 over the Phillies. If Texas starter Hamilton gets roughed up early, don’t be surprised to see Derek Holland, out of the bullpen and on the bump for the Rangers.
Injuries will play a roll tonight as Cardinals slugger Matt Holliday is out and Cards rookie outfielder Adron Chambers is in. Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz is dealing with a nagging groin injury, while Texas catcher Mike Napolia rolled his ankle last night, both are expected to play.
MLB World Series Game 7 Betting Lines: Cardinals vs. Ranger Free Pick
Anyone who says they can definitively call the winer of this contest, doesn’t know the definition of definitive. Expect the unexpected, and take it as the norm, again tonight. For that reason we are heading outside the box as we turn to the Adjusted Run Line at the BetOnline Sportsbook.
After researching this game, we feel that it will be a closely contested match-up. We talked about the Cardinals being the 2011 Team Of Destiny back during the NLDS.
Texas needs to find a way to come back from being so close, yet so far, last night. We like Texas tonight, and since the start of the Series, but won’t bet on them straight up here.
Our betting bankroll currently sits at plus 3,329.51 units for the 2011 calendar year. We are going to go against our conventional betting rules and drop 1,000 units on the Rangers at +2.5 runs.
