NFL Free Agent Moves: Manning Is Mile High
Casual National Football League fans are definitely going to need a program to match the players to their teams as the 2012 Free Agent season has seen more big names change teams than any year on record.
Peyton Manning leads the way as the biggest catch this season and possibly in NFL history. For the first time in his 14 year NFL career, Manning will throw a pass for a team NOT named the Indianapolis Colts in 2012.

Peyton Manning’s move to Denver is a bit of a surprise to some as he will move out of the climate controlled Lucas Oil Stadium and into the sometimes bitterly cold and snowbound Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver. Manning isn’t exactly inheriting a Cadillac of a Broncos offense either.
He is also entering his 15 NFL season and, while he has been a picture of health for most of them, recent neck surgeries put him at serious risk during every snap he will play moving forward.

Denver and Peyton Manning agreed to a five-year, $96 million contract. While it looks like a big juicy deal at a quick glance but, “all” that is guaranteed is $18 million for the 2012 season.
After that, annual physicals could kick in injury waiver clauses, meaning Manning must stay healthy in order to get to year two and beyond. It’s a gutsy move by the Broncos and Manning!
