Yankees vs Indians Major League Baseball Betting Prediction
While we don’t advocate kicking someone when they are down, all is fair when it comes to betting on Major League Baseball. This is especially true when you get a match-up like we have in Cleveland tonight.
It’s the New York Yankees, leaders in the AL East, up against the Indians who are 14.5 games back in the AL Central Division. First pitch is slated for 7:05 PM EDT on Friday, August 24, 2012, from Progressive Field.
New York Yankees: CC Sabathia returns to the NY lineup
Sidelined with a sore left elbow over the past two weeks, CC Sabathia (12-3 ERA 3.56) returns to the Yankees rotation after a brief stint on disabled list. The ace of the New York pitching staff has gone 3-0 with a 3.89 ERA in five starts since the All-Star break. This was a nice break for Sabathia and he and the Bronx Bombers tune up for the stretch run and the 2012 MLB postseason.
Cleveland Indians: Battling the Twins for last in the American League
While they aren’t the worst team in the Majors record wise, few teams are playing worse baseball right now than the Cleveland Indians. With a 1-9 record over their last ten games (4-17 in August) the Indians return home after losing eight straight games on the road. RHP Corey Kluber (0-2 ERA 6.27) heads to the hill for the Tribe in this one. Kluber is about to get clubbed here.
