NFL Futures Odds 2013 AFC Championship Forecast
We are always amazed by how the National Football League regular season flies by in what seems like a blink of an eye. With NFL halfway point upon us, let’s revisit the 2013 AFC Championship playoff odds.
New England and Houston have swapped the AFC Championship favorite perch. The Texans are now posted with the top price in the American Football Conference over the Patriots. Don’t forget Denver.
Texans wrangle top AFC favorite status away from Patriots
Unlike the NFC that has two new teams in the top five chalk standings at the halfway point (the Saints and Eagles were bumped out by the Falcons and Giants), the top five teams in the AFC remain the same save for position changes. Houston (7-1) has taken the favorite role from New England in the AFC as they currently sit with an 11/5 AFC Championship betting line.
AFC Championship Odds: American Football Conference best of the rest
New England (5-3) has slipped to second with 9/4 odds, which is up slightly from their 11/4 price in August. Behind amazing play from QB Peyton Manning, the Denver Broncos (5-3) have jumped from a preseason fifth favorite ranking (7/1 odds) to third chalk with a 9/2 price. Pittsburgh at 8/1 and Baltimore at 9/1 both had their price bumped down a notch but remain in the top five.
