MLB Chicago vs. Detroit: AL Central Division Betting Prices
Worst meets first as the last place Chicago White Sox roll into the Motor City to battle the first place Detroit Tigers. We like the Cats in this MLB American League Central Division baseball betting action tonight.
Detroit has been red hot since the All Star break while the South Side Sox have been ice cold all season long. First pitch is slated for Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 7:08 PM EDT from Comerica Park in Motown!
Despite a stellar run Motor City Cats can’t shake the Tribe
Three of the five clubs in the MLB American League Central make up the hottest clubs in baseball right now. The Detroit Tigers (9-1) Cleveland Indians (8-2) and KC Royals (9-1) are a combined 26-4 over their last thirty games. Detroit, who were huge chalk to win the AL Central back in the preseason, is having a tough time shaking the pesky Indians who are matching the Tigers win for win and are just three game out of first place. We still like Detroit to win the AL Central title.
Chicago White Sox: Up against solid Cy Young candidate in the contest
There’s a new ace in the Tigers pitching rotation, as Max Scherzer (15-1 ERA 3.01) gets the call for the Cats tonight. The man with two distinctly different colored eyes (it’s kind of freaky) is just the fourth pitcher to win at least 15 of his first 16 decisions since 1979. Scherzer faces a Chicago club that’s 29th overall in runs scored as the White Sox have plated just 392 runs this season. Detroit by comparison is second in the Majors with 551 runs scored. The South Siders are in tough here!
Tigers vs. White Sox MLB Betting Prices & Sportsbook Review Game Day Prediction
We weren’t surprised to see Detroit as huge home chalk on the topbet.eu betting board for this AL Central clash tonight. The Tigers are -1.5 (-130) ATS and -265 on the money line. The Sox are road dogs at +1.5 (+110) on the run line and +225 S/U while the game total is set at 7.5 runs. We like the fact that the Tribe is keeping the AL Central playoff race close. It means Detroit can’t afford to be complacent against MLB bottom feeders. Give us the Cats at -1.5 (-130) ATS!
