Pittsburgh Out to Avoid Letdown Game Against Buffalo

In what very well could be a letdown game for the Penguins, they will do their best to focus on the task at hand and defeat Buffalo on Wednesday night in New York. The Penguins are one of the league’s top teams and the Sabres are the league’s worst team. This can be a lethal combination for a good team if handled properly. Enjoy this game with the Penguins in a blowout.

Pittsburgh needs to improve play on the road

Despite going 24-6-1 since November 26, the Penguins have struggled on the road. All but one of their losses in that span came on the road, where they have dropped two of three. Even though they face the NHL’s worst team in the Sabres tonight, it is still a road game that could cause havoc for the Penguins. Pittsburgh has the most points in the Eastern Conference with 80 as the Olympic break closes in on the league.

Buffalo looking for first win in February

It has only been two games, but the Sabres have yet to win a game in the month of February. The Sabres opened the month with a 7-1 loss to Colorado on Saturday and then dropped a 3-2 decision to the Edmonton Oilers, the worst team in the West. Just how bad has Buffalo’s season been? Believe it or not, but stats don’t lie, backup goalie Jhonas Enroth is 1-11-5 this season with a 2.88 goals against average. That’s how rough of a season Buffalo has endured.

For some reason, the Penguins are just 1.5-point favorites in this game with the Sabres. Maybe it’s because of their recent road struggles. It is a nice spread tonight at SportsBetting.ag, but we like the OVER 5.5 total goals scored at +120 for the Penguins much more. We just see the Penguins throttling the host Sabres in this contest as they right their issues on the road.
