Denver couldn’t recover after going down 17-0 in the second quarter, and their 10 penalties totalling 90 yards didn’t help.

After the 42-yard Kyle Orton to Brandon Lloyd touchdown late in the first half, a comeback was almost in sight. In the scoreless third period, things look more promising for Denver as they held Baltimore at 17-7.

But when Ray Rice’s scored his second touchdown, it was the beginning of the end for the weary Broncos. The Ravens capped it off with a 30-yard McGahee touchdown run, racking up the OVER with 49 points for bettors at the BetUs.com sportsbook.

Though Orton threw for 300+ yards, the Broncos couldn’t mount any semblance of a rushing attack and they fell to 0-5 all-time in Baltimore.

Broncos @ Ravens – Game Notes – Game Stars

Ravens Game Ball: RB Ray Rice. With two touchdowns and 133 yards rushing, he was by far the most effective offensive player on the field. His diving, over-the-shoulder 42-yard touchdown catch at the back of the endzone was highlight reel material

Baltimore (4-1) shoots up to first place passing Pittsburgh in the AFC North. Next Sunday, they travel to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA to take on the New England Patriots (3-1).

Broncos Game Ball: WR Brandon Lloyd. Doing his job perfectly, he caught two touchdown passes (both for more than 40 yards) confirming it wasn’t the passing game that was Denver’s downfall on this night.

Denver (2-3) shares a record with San Diego and Oakland in the tight AFC West division. They are in tough next week as they play host to the New York Jets (4-1) at Invesco Field at Mile High.
