2010 NFL Week 6 Preview: Browns vs. Steelers

Pittsburgh (3-1) gets quarterback Ben Roethlisberger back from his four game suspension and currently sit in second, just a game back of the Ravens, in the AFC North.

The Steelers are coming off their bye week, they get a meatball match-up for the return of Big Ben and, they are at home. It’s the Perfect Storm.

Cleveland (1-4) is mired in last place in the AFC North and they are also a hurting unit. The Browns will turn to rookie QB Colt McCoy as Jake Delhome and Seneca Wallace are both listed as doubtful.

The Browns followed up their Week 4 23-23 home win over the Bengals with a 20-10 home loss to the Falcons. It’s the Imperfect Storm.

Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers: NFL Game Predictions & Free Picks

When we first looked at this line we saw TRAP written all over it for suppoters of the Steelers. Once the Browns announced that they would be starting QB Colt McCoy and that RB Peyton Hillis is questionable with a thigh injury, the TRAP shifted to those backing the Browns.

The Steelers failed to cover either of the match-ups last season including a 13-6 outright loss during their late season slide. The other game saw Pittsburgh win 27-14 but they failed to cover the -14 point spread by a single point. Oddly, that game was played the same week and in the same location as this weeks match-up.

We don’t see history repeating itself in this one so we are laying the 14 points with this free pick as the Brownies get buried 31-6 barely keeping the game total UNDER.
