The Week 7 2010 NFL schedule brings us an NFC matchup between two teams that haven’t met since December 2007 – one of the NFL’s worst offenses against the NFL’s worst defense.
The Bears have work to do to regain composure after a 23-20 defeat to the Seattle last week, and they will be on guard knowing Donovon McNabb has won four of his five career starts at Soldier Field.
Like Chicago, Washington is also out to avenge a 3-point, Week 6 home loss. They fell to fell when they underachieved in the second quarter and couldn’t make it up.
2010 Bears Offense
In the four major offensive categories the Bears’ highest rank is only 22nd in passing yards with 193 per game. Rushing is their problem, ranked 26th with only 92.3 yards per game. If Cutler can enjoy some protection he might be able to throw his way to a victory, but he is the most sacked QB inthe league, being felled 27 times already.
2010 Redskins Defense
Allowing an NFL-worst 432.5 total yards per game, the Redskins need to either wake up defensively or explode offensively to get past the Bears. The worrisome statistic is the 298.2 passing yards allwoed per game on average (31st), and if Cutler gets enough time the ‘Skins will be in for a long afternoon.
