The New York Jets have won three straight games against the Packers, and another victory this Sunday would keep them at the top of NFL. Green Bay is suffering with a laundry list of injuries while the Jets appear well-rested and healthy as they return from their bye week.
Green Bay is coming off a 28-24 home victory over the Vikings last week, but are paying the price for it physically. The odds may not be in their favour, but knowing a win could boost them to the top of the AFC North division will spur them on to play through the pain.
NFL 2010 Week 8 Preview: Jets Defense
New York is ourth-ranked in the league with 16.8 points per game against. The Jets defense has been further bolstered by the return of CB Darrelle Revis who, after declaring his hamstring injury as healed, will be called upon to help stop the Aaron Rodgers’ led Green Bay passing attack.
Sitting at 22nd in the league with 229.9 pass yards allowed per game, the Jets will need all the help they can get against the offensive minded Packers.
2010 Packers Offense
Green Bay sits eighth best in the league as far as passing yards per game with 250.7. As long as Rodgers plays to form, they should be able to get to the end zone several times. Running back Ryan Grant’s season-ending ankle injury has forced the Packers to focus more on the passing game, but with four experienced wide recievers they can still feel confident.
