NFL Betting Odds – Wagering Recap: Bengals vs Dolphins

Two teams heading in opposite directions battled during the Week 8 NFL 2010 NFL schedule as the Cincinnati Bengals hosted the Miami Dolphins.

This AFC non-divisional action was decided at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH on Sunday, October 31, 2010.

Miami was coming off a tough 23-22 loss to the Steelers in Week 7 NFL action.

Cincinnati was on a bye after being crushed 39-26 by the Falcons during Week 6 of the 2010 NFL schedule.

Bengals vs Dolphins: Betting Trend Movements

Early, game day, money line wagering was slanted heavily at 97% for the visiting Dolphins (+145). Miami spread backers (+2.5) out number the Bengals faithful by a 79% to 21% margin while almost everyone (91%) was on the OVER total wager (43.5 points).

The spread-betting gap closed to 35% Bengals to 65% Dolphins by kickoff but the money line (97% Miami) and the total wager (89% over) went virtually unchanged all the way up to kickoff.

NFL Week 8 Wagering Results: Dolphins (4-3) @ Bengals (2-5)

Despite the lopsided looking final, bettors were kept on the edge of their sits throughout this contest. Two QB Carson Palmer TD passes for the Bengals and four Miami PK Dan Carpenter field goals had the home favorites up 14-12 at halftime.

Both defenses went into lock down mode in the second half as Miami shut out the Bengals over the final two quarters and the Dolphins offense added another field goal to go along with a RB Ricky Williams 1-yard TD run.

Final Score: Dolphins 22 Bengals 14 – Road underdog wins on the spread and money line – Total stays UNDER.
