Week 8 Post Game Fallout: Bengals vs Dolphins – Week 9 Betting Lines

It certainly hasn’t been a season to remember thus far for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Thought of as a preseason contender in the AFC North, the Bengals find themselves looking up at everyone in the division, including the lowly Cleveland Browns.

Head coach Marvin Lewis is on the hot seat in Cincinnati and could be one of the first coaching casualties of the NFL 2010 season.

The first NFL coach to get fired prop bet at Sportsbook.com has Lewis listed as a +1000 long shot. We would stay away from that bet as candidates like the Jaguars Jack Del Rio and Vikings Brad Childress find themselves on much hotter coaching seats.

If the Jaguars weren’t on a bye this week we would love to back Del Rio. A Week 9 home loss by the Vikings to the Cardinals would definitely trigger a Childress firing.

Miami Dolphins: NFL Week 9 Betting Odds

Miami now has a very strange record with four road wins and three home loses. Apart from the 41-10 blowout to the Patriots in Week 4, the Dolphins have been in every game they have played in during the 2010 NFL season. Their other two loses (Packers 23-20 and Steelers 23-22) have been by a combined four points.

Up Next: Miami stays on the road for a second straight week as they travel to M&T Bank Stadium to face the Baltimore Ravens. In a scheduling oddity, it will be the Dolphins third straight game against an AFC North team.

EARLY LINE ALERT: The total for this AFC non-divisional match-up opened at 40.5 points in the BetUs.com online sportsbook. Miami is a +5 point underdog at Bodog.com while the money line opened at -190 Ravens and +230 Miami at Sportsbook.com.
