Breaking News – Mall of America Field Roof Caves In: Already postponed from Sunday to Monday, the Minnesota Vikings vs. New York Giants game is now in total limbo. With the NFC East playoff picture cloudy, the NFL will get this match-up rescheduled for Monday, December, 13, 2010.

NFL.com is reporting the roof of the Metrodome has collaspes under the weight of the massive snow that has fallen on the Minneapolis area. There were no reported injuries in the collapse.

New York Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings Game Postponed

The NFL will come up with a contingency site and the most logic move is to play it at New Meadowlands Stadium in New York on Monday Night. This happened with the Saints game back in 2005 when the Superdome was damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The Vikings would retain home field “privileges” no matter where the game is played.

Ford Field in Detroit could also host the game but we aren’t sure they will go in that direction. It would make sense though since Fox Sports will already be set up there to televise the Packers @ Lions game on Sunday, December 12, 2010. It would be a nice early Christmas gift for Detroit NFL Fans!

The Vikings vs. Giants game is temporary suspended until a new date and time is set and all bets will be cancelled and the game won’t be back on board until a new location is set.

It is a very good bet that they will get this game in on Monday, December 13, 2010….somewhere…..somehow! So stayed tuned!!
