QB Brett Favre has reportedly told teammates that he doesn’t think he will be able to start this contest because of a shoulder separation. That will end his “Iron Man” streak at 297 consecutive games played. Tarvaris Jackson will be under center for the Vikings and will face a stiff test from the vaunted New York pass rush.

For their part, the Giants original trip to Minnesota was diverted to Kansas City were they spent the night on Friday. Now they have moved onto Detroit for what is a season saving game for them. The Eagles took care of business in Dallas on Sunday and the Giants need a win here to keep pace in the NFC East.

The shifting of this game to Detroit almost makes this a home game for the Giants, as Lions fans are not going to be cheering for their hated division rivals from Minnesota. The Giants new found running game, coupled with their fierce pass rush, will be the difference in what should be a high scoring and highly entertaining game.
